Bio
Danielle "Nelle" Vargas is a professional female disc golfer that has played disc golf for six years. Nelle is very proud of her creation of the Ladies of Live Oak club, which introduces women to the sport of Disc Golf in a comfortable setting. The Ladies of Live Oak, also known as the Lolo's, meet every week and have been going strong for over two years. The Lolos' ran the Discraft Ace Race in 2004 which raised money for the promotion of women in Disc Golf. A female PDGA membership was given, numerous tournament entries were awarded and many new women have been introduced to the sport with the money raised. Danielle was the 2004 Texas Amatuer Female Player of the year and nominated for the 2005 PDGA Female Rookie of the Year. Danielle feels her greatest achievement is having three beautiful children, Mark, Tyler and Bethany.
Most Memorable Moment
In her Professional National Tour debut at ZBoaz in Ft. Worth, Texas, Nelle placed 4th and as a result played in the showcase final nine with World Champion Barry Schultz as well as hit an ace on hole 1.
